Thanks to its international partners, Aeronike can provide recent images (from 2020 onwards) of the entire territory (GSD 15cm) and the main cities (GSD 7 cm + Oblique) both in Italy and in Europe. Their derived products, Orthoimages, DSM and DTM, are also immediately available. We do not have images prior to 2015.
Compared to traditional orthoimages, the TrueOrthoimage is obtained by re-projecting the aerial photogrammetric images pixel-by-pixel onto the DSM, removing the deformations caused by the perspective view of elevated elements (e.g. building facades). Every point of the TrueOrthoimage therefore has correct coordinates and can be perfectly superimposed on the cartography.
Aeronike normally provides full ownership of the data which therefore has no usage limitations or requires future interactions. Exclusive use can also be obtained upon request. Archive images, on the other hand, are licensed with the restriction of not being resold to third parties.
Aeronike has great experience in the sector and is able to provide a fairly precise estimate of the realization times despite the obvious problems related to aircraft logistics and uncertain weather. The mission is usually carried out within 15 days of the order and a medium-sized city is normally surveyed in a single day of flight. The products such as TrueOrtophoto, DSM or 3D Models are created in a time that varies from 15 to 45 days depending on the size of the territory, with the exception of numerical cartography which, remaining a completely manual job, requires more time.
We create 3D surveys with a level of detail that was unthinkable until a few years ago. Our system of cameras, all photogrammetric, can reach a detail of 3.5cm. See our live demo on the town of San Pantaleo in Costa Smeralda for yourself.
We don't usually use drones: they can't fly over urban centers and require infinitely more time. In rare cases, for specific applications that require greater flexibility or in smaller areas (less than 100 hectares), we use drones equipped with a camera + LiDAR.
Ground Control Points are physical markers taken on the territory being surveyed through professional GPS instrumentation. They have millimetric precision and the photogrammetry software uses them to improve the accuracy of the final product up to that required by the product's reference scale.
Identifiable as the spatial resolution, the Ground Separation Distance is the distance between the centers of two adjacent pixels of the image and numerically and unequivocally defines the detail of the images. GSD is the fundamental parameter to take into consideration, not only with regard to the definition and detail of the image, but also for operational choices such as flight altitude and dataset dimensions.
The nominal scale of a cartography identifies its detail and precision exactly. All products derived from photogrammetry such as TrueOrthoimages, DSM, DTM and 3D Models refer to the cartographic scale, ideally replicating its characteristics. The scales 1:10000-1:5000 are normally used for municipal territories, 1:2000 for urban centers and 1:1000 - 1:500 for historic centers or areas of particular interest.

Integrated survey Nuoro Su Tuvu

+

Integrated aerial photogrammetric + LiDAR survey. For the construction of a purification plant, a cartographic survey of the territory with a high-detail DTM was requested. We delivered all the classic cartographic products (DWG, DBT, TrueOrthoimage and point cloud) together with a Digital Twin accompanied by 3D software for use.

Image

3D survey of the municipality of Rome

+

The entire municipal area of Rome (approx. 1285 km²) was surveyed at a GSD of 5.5 cm with our oblique camera system. A TrueOrthoimage and a very high-detail DSM were created from the nadiral and oblique images. The 3D reconstruction of the entire territory is currently being completed with a view to integration into a Digital Twin of the municipality of Rome.

Digital Twin Municipality of Genoa

+

An aerial photogrammetric survey with oblique cameras was carried out, from which a TrueOrthoimage and a high-detail 3D model were obtained, used as a base for the Genoa SIT and future Digital Twin applications.
